Your pocket field guide.

Start with one subject and one chapter. These practical steps help you get a useful identification and a collection you’ll want to revisit.

Your first discovery, from photo to card.

  1. Notice something. Open the camera or choose a photograph you have permission to use.
  2. Choose your subject. Select the subject or crop the image so the detail you care about is clear.
  3. Review the identification. Results can be uncertain. Online recognition asks for processing permission before uploading.
  4. Reveal your card. Tap the sealed card to open your discovery, then flip it to explore its story.
  5. Keep your find. Save your encounter to your collection and add it to a relevant chapter.

Try the sample discovery to get a feel for the reveal without using your camera.

A closer look makes a better photograph.

Identification is a learning aid. It can be wrong. The app’s preview terms explain its limits.

Make a chapter out of an ordinary day.

A chapter pairs a theme with target discoveries. Choose an ongoing chapter or a dated quest, then select its cover and who can participate.

For a ready-made starting point, try The Shape of a Car: sedan, hatchback, station wagon, coupe, SUV, and convertible. Or try Flowers Beyond the Bouquet: rose, sunflower, lavender, hibiscus, hydrangea, and California poppy. Both are six-target chapters in the catalog.

Chapter suggestions can use online AI processing with a separate permission. Avoid personal or private information in chapter titles.

Make your feedback useful.

Tell us what you were trying to discover, which detail was wrong or missing, and the build number shown in the app. For a chapter issue, include its title and which target you expected to count. Send feedback to hello@findmore.app.
